Chef Hamelin’s Bio

My name is Chris and this is Chef Hamelin’s kitchen and I would like to welcome you.

Welcome to my kitchen, from as far back as I can remember I’ve had a passion and love for cooking, I was taught and trained over the years by the men in my family. I had the pleasure of watching and Learning from my uncles and my father as they showed tremendous skill, passion and love in the kitchen. I was raised in the kitchen, I spent hours of my youth in the kitchen, cooking, cleaning, learning, sharing in the kitchen.

So naturally as a young man when it came time for me to get my first job I migrated right towards restaurants, and thus I started my journey to share my love and passion for cooking and creating. My journey started as a dishwasher at a local pub called The Carrigan arms not too far from my home. Over the years I moved up through the ranks of soup and salad, grease pit, deep fryer, line cook, sous chef, and on weekdays I would often run the kitchen. After a few years I outgrew the kitchen, my parents had split up and I had moved to a new town. I started working at a local restaurant, East side Mario's and I worked in their kitchen for many years filling all rolls, even travelling north once a year to be a private chef cooking for 15 for a week. It was an absolutely amazing time in my life.

I spent several years cooking in kitchens only to find that regardless of your passion and love there was no true way for me to make a living, I found myself on the wrong end of every bargaining table, I found myself undervalued and made to feel like a servant. I knew that this could not be the path to the future I saw, the future that I have planned for myself, I knew a new path would have to be forged ultimately for me to achieve a respectable and noble status in Society with respected and suitable income to sustain a family.

So I left the cooking industry and became a tradesmen . I became a 309 A construction maintenance electrician but my love and passion for cooking never left me. As a matter of fact it intensified and grew and now I take tremendous pleasure in cooking and preparing meals for people I care about and love dearly. I am left with a tremendous feeling of love and joy and an overwhelming sense of excitement and I truly feel valued when I'm expressing that love and it is met with respect. I truly find value being at your service.

sharing my love of cooking with people my age and younger is an interesting topic of debate. It has understandably been misunderstood and met with mixed reviews.

Over the years I've dated many women and have had conversations with friends and colleagues, some who relate and some who really don't , and in some cases that feel absolute hate or dread and obligation and sometimes i’m even meet with insult and criticisms from my feminist friends. It's been explain to me that Some people were raised in front of a television or a tablet, they can't relate to sitting at a dinner table and eating as a family. I’ve found my generation is a generation of broken homes in broken values.

Now as an adult with my own kitchen I truly feel lucky I was able to appreciate what I saw as a child and I am proud and happy with how it’s now expressed in my life as an adult. i’m Grateful I was raised in the kitchen, This is where I saw family time, development of personality and the place where conversations were held. The dinner table was always a place of safety security a place were open thought in dialogue were welcome. You weren't allowed to leave the table until your plate was clear and your homework was done. A place where we could run scenarios and discuss past, present and future in a manner that was educational and helped tremendously with my ability to process deep thought as a young man growing and developing my mind. I hang on dearly to the lessons I've learned the conversations I've had in the safety I feel when I'm in the kitchen. And all these years later I'm able to look back on that and analyze it in multi dimensional ways, one layer of the onion, one thing I've learned is one of my love languages it's time spent and doing acts of service so I have and hold a tremendous love for, and need for preparing food and cooking for others that I truly care about and I would love to share that with all of you.

over the last 10 years I've learned, refined play around with and experimented with many recipes. But at the end of the day it's a handful of recipes that can truly make a person feel like their home again, a good cooked meal can rejuvenate you, fill your depleted batteries, reinvigorate your soul, and maybe strengthen your electrical field and intensify your antenna, maybe your light shines a little brighter in your field once again with creativity and love.

So Until the day I find my queen, and I share my kitchen with the woman of my dreams, that will help me raise my sons to be gentleman and kings, and raise my daughters to be honest and honourable as Queens, I will perfect my skills and hone my trade and develop a discipline in which love is made, meals that will nourish not only your body but your soul and help ever expand your mind as your body gets old I hope I can help teach you to be kind not only to others but to yourself and I must remind you if you love them, You must take care of your Health.

So if your a lonely soul like me hustlin and grinding trying to make something Grand out of your life, I can understand the difficulty of finding time to prepare meals and meal prep, but I'm telling you there is a huge satisfaction to be earned and gained from developing this simple discipline, not to mention the brownie points it will gain you with the ladies later in life. But I can’t express enough just how important it is for you to take care of yourselves on your hustle. Trust me when I say no one wants to achieve all their goals and dreams only to find themselves overweight and unfit for the type of woman they want to have kids with. Could you imagine finally owning that business, owning that house but unable to attract a suitable female or even if you do find a partner unable to play with your kids because you're fat as fuck and out of shape and didn't take care of yourself on your grind.

All of my meals can be prepared within half an hour, minimal cleanup, minimal stress, and you'll see once you start feeding your body the proper things your life will start changing for the better the healthier your body, the healthier your mind, the healthier your relationships will grow to be trust me when I say everything is interconnected. Be the change you want to see.

So I prepare healthy meals for one, because it's important for you and I to keep our body healthy and our minds focused. Please take all of my recipes, practice them share them with loved ones, learn what spices and ingredients speak to you experiment with flavours and prepare your meals with love. follow along with me as we keep our mind, body and soul healthy together as we make our way through this rat race on our way to our goals and future. I hope one day you share these meals with your families and I hope one day you feel as happy as I feel preparing meals for people I love.
