Dinner for one

"Dining alone doesn't have to be daunting or sad! 🍽️ Sometimes, treating yourself to a delicious meal is the best form of self-care. 💚 Today, I'm whipping up a simple and cost-effective dinner for one: tenderloin steak, sautéed broccoli, shallots, and mushrooms. 😋

🛒 Ingredients:

- 1 tenderloin steak

- 1 head of broccoli

- Shallots

- Mushrooms

👩‍🍳 Directions:

1. Start by seasoning your tenderloin steak with your favorite spices. Let it sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes.

2. While the steak is resting, chop the broccoli into bite-sized florets, slice the shallots, and quarter the mushrooms.

3. Heat a pan over medium-high heat and add a bit of oil. Once hot, sear the steak for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare (adjust for your preferred doneness). Remove and let it rest.

4. In the same pan, add a touch more oil if needed and sauté the shallots and mushrooms until they're tender and lightly browned.

5. In a separate pot, steam or blanch the broccoli until it's crisp-tender, about 3-4 minutes.

6. Plate your steak alongside the sautéed mushrooms and shallots, and the steamed broccoli.
